Admission Procedure – Aligned with CHSE & SAMS Guidelines

Admission to Junabhadra Degree College, Bitana is conducted entirely online via the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), under the purview of the Odisha Department of Higher Education. SAMS integrates CHSE (+2) marks and UG (+3) course applications into a single, unified portal (samsodisha.gov.in).

For CHSE (+2) admissions, students apply directly through SAMS or the CHSE portal, and scores are auto-fetched into the Common Application Form (CAF). For +3 (UG) degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com) admissions, the CAF is live around mid-April. The 2025 deadline was extended to June 1, 2025, with an OTP-enabled correction window from May 21–June 1 :contentReference.

The process supports key NEP 2020 features such as Major/Minor subject selection and includes the recently introduced 11.25% SEBC reservation from 2025–26 onwards :contentReference. Students select their preferred stream, subject combinations (Majors/Minors), and colleges based on merit and seat availability.

Post seat allotment (1st/2nd/3rd rounds issued June–July 2025), students must confirm admission by paying fees and reporting to the college on scheduled dates :contentReference. Eligibility requires a CHSE (+2) pass, and admission is merit-based (CHSE marks or CUET where applicable).
